I think this is the major issue someone should eventually fix. I personally like the mod you guys are making, it's a cool thing, but in the end it doesn't prevent anything in most peoples case...

Well, it seems that the day has come for our 2005 x5 3.0i to start draining the battery because of a somehow faulty TCU unit. The bluetooth module (Fuse 74) seems to keep waking up the car from sleep...

Taking the intake manifold off, is not really a difficult job. It's just time consuming, mostly when you are doing it the first time. So many parts that have to be dismounted... but nothing really...

The friction you are encountering when mounting the seal can only come from the outer bore. The selector rod has to be free to rotate, so it's absolutely not a tight fit when speaking about the shaft...
