What You think is a rough idle could be bad motor mounts.............it is shaking at cold start.I had the same on my 4.8is . changed out the engine mounts and it was gone.

all n62 engines go through a misfire at start up...

all n62 engines go through a misfire at start up ......It's the valves adjustor on the heads advancing the timing......You might want to check he ccv also.........the squealing is most likely a pully...

sure I replaced mine get the air bags and the shocks and use the jack from the trunk and a floor jack , not too bad of a job.

Believe it or not, go to the back where the rack is fir all the GPS and CD players are , look around at the cables and move them around a bit..........It should make them work....trust me

yes ,but be careful , change your oil after the X5 burns a tank , it really thins out your oil and all that crap goes to the oil also.............

Yes it's common , I had that a few times on my 4.8is .............just keep a eye on it , I changed my IVM that manages the engine ,and it brought my idle up a bit, I would check your on board...

I tried clear coating my headlight lens also , with the same results, the clear coat won't take to the plastic, I just sanded with 3 types of sand paper and used compound and wax to finish it off.

Are You experiencing smoke ? If not You might want to chill out, I think bmw caught the problem and replaced them on 05,06 , so if it's not broken don't fix it.

I had the same thing , when I drive the car and shut her off , The low oil pressure warning would pop up...............here is a question, what is your idle RPM'S if it is too low the oil pressure...

I had same thing with my car, check the wires to the sensors and make sure the the connection are good.The mechanics do damage to the wires and sensors.So pull the tires and check .
