Had exact same thing happen to rear vent a while...

Had exact same thing happen to rear vent a while ago.
Used L-shaped Hex key (or a thick wire, don't remember) to push the smaller part from behind. Was easier than it looked.
No need to disassemble...

On topic: I do let the engine warm up, especially in winter. Side benefit is warm seats.

Bad toe is what wears out tires, not the camber. Having bad toe and zero camber will wear out the tire evenly...
