When put in reverse, the right side mirror automatically adjusts downward (safety feature) to see,....um, I guess...any potential "thing" that one may back over that is RIGHT NEXT to...

BMW dealership has no answer to this issue: I am worried of the safety implications!!

On two or three occasions lately, while in park, my X5 revs way up as if the gas pedal was pushed to the floor...
