I have never seen a Celis tail lamp (OEM or aftermarket) made by any company other than Hella. I don't quite understand why nobody else has done it yet.

What is puzzling is Hella's recent release of an aftermarket tail light kit for the Ford F150 pickup which includes combination LED/Celis lamps.

They make the OEM E53 lights - they have the design specs and existing molds, but there's a bunch more F150's in this world than there are E53 X5's. Bigger market = more revenue.

i hope this group buy list succeed. the other one went too long and never revive. if everything works out for the supplier, i am in too.

The other one was really a wish list more than group buy as there was no specific product in existence when the list was started. This was explained in the very first message that I wrote. But it did what it was intended - it helped to quantify the size of the market for the product.

I want one :)

the ones on the F150 don't look bad, but if the same type of LED bulbs are used, they don't look OEM. i think most of us want it to look as inconspicuous as possible, or is that just me?

Great list so far guys. I agree, the LEDs on the F150 look cheezy...we'll make sure they are similar to our E46 tails as seen below:
