My service advisor told me there was no such thing as a X5M!

Electronic dipstick said it needed a quarter at 5000 miles. So I just took it in and had them do an oil change. 9000 miles on it now and still showing full.

When my car was new the oil was at the max. It has been slowly going down and now I'm around 4600 miles and it's about 1/4 between the max and min. I'm guessing I'll have to add a quart pretty soon.

i've got 12,000 km on and its telling me again to add oil

Went to my dealer today and they swore to me that it was the 10w60 oil.

I think your dealer is wrong, well I hope they are wrong. I've confirmed with three different sources that it is in fact 5w-30 weight. 10-60 is only for naturally aspirated M engines in the Z, 3 and 5 series M's.

i have almost 8000km on my car and i got an alarm asking to add 1 liter !!!!!

Took mine in for back up camera issues, the dealer had to add some oil. I have 12000KM.

I just took my car in for some warranty stuff. I'm at 5300 miles and it also told me the oil was low, so the paperwork says the dealer added a quart of 5w-30.

I'm at 6400 miles and no message yet but did change oil at 1000 miles.
It only took the Service Manager with the help of a District Manager an hour to figure out that the X5m uses the same grade oil as the 750.
