ONLY 22mpg! Compared to what I get 15-17mpg that is great. Although I must say it is hard to not drive 110-120mph on the Autobahn over here in Germany. :D

Depending on speed, we average around 8-9 L/100km on the highway, which converts to about 26-30 mpg (U.S. gal.). That's very good for an SUV.

22mpg and you're complaining? I have gotten 16mpg the last two tanks and I do NOT abuse my brand new car

It's very accurate. It sounds like you've never zeroed yours and that your average consumption reading is based on many miles of use, in which case it will probably change very little on an ongoing basis. Try zeroing it and then watch what it does over the next few miles and you will see dramatic differences depending on the kind of driving you're doing.

Well as i read this post it made me curious to what my MPG is... isnt it terrible that it reads 13.2 MPG?? Thats extremely low aint it?? Someone tell me what i should do. I live in Miami so lots of trffic lights here and stop signs.. but is that as low that i can ask my local bmw to check if theresa a problem that it uses up to much gas. Ive realized it goes by so fast... i have 1700 miles on it.. 05' 3.0

Access the computer and Try zeroing it and then watch what it does over the next few miles and you will see dramatic differences depending on the kind of driving you're doing. Borrowed that from B&DCalgary . He's right you know.
