The wind noise I am hearing is fairly obvious, but this was not something I got before it went to the shop. Oftentimes, is a trim piece is slightly misaligned, it will not sit right against the seal, causing the noise. You may need to play around with it, if it's not telltale obvious cause you don't see sunlight.....but I'm 90% sure that is the issue with mine at this current time.

Replace the door seals is more OCD on my part.....I've never had wind noise as the root cause is just 2 abraded holes on the lower part, just from stepping in/out.

It took me alot longer than I expected.

These gaskets are trimmed to fit, so technically, you are supposed to put them on till the ends mate to each other.

1st try and subsequent tries. Ends were always a bit extra. I resorted to taking a rubber hammer to help seating, ensuring corners were nice and tight, mixed up some SLIP solution and sprayed the gaskets down liberally, etc --- at the end of the day, it took multiple attempts on all 4 doors to get them to fit as OEM designed. It literrally became a trail and error on starting on my end and hoping the other was -.- Flush.

A brake job was faster then messing with these gaskets.

I Don't recommend the rubber mallet unless you are OCD careful. I was tired from the spring pollen and fighting with trial and error. There is a small margin of error with the mallet, as you can hit it the wrong way/force and bend the metal inside the *rubber sealing edge bead*. if you are not careful

It had rained pretty decent for a short bit last night.

Note: I never have had any moisture issues in the rear to date.

Out of all 4 doors, one of the rear passenger door, behind the pressure fit gasket seal, it was wet inside. I saw no reason for it to be wet, as the rears has no visible tear in the front outer gasket. Nevertheleast, I suppose it was a good thing changing it out, as something was allowing water to sit between the body and the seal/gasket.

BTW, mam, have you checked the door which you think you are getting noise. Noise/wind is pretty obvious.....at high speeds. I would check your door trim. If it get's knock out of alignment, all you do is reseat that , and that , in MY EXPERIENCE has been the causes of wind noise for me. 2X, and it's ways been right after I picked it from the body shop

Haven't checked any of my trim, what trim exactly are you talking about. I seem to be hearing some wind noise from my driver's door around the front at eye level...

Sounds like it's the trim...
On the door panel, right above the window, the black trim the covers the upper door that follows the A Pillar.

Check to see if that trim is aligned. It MAY look aligned. Crack open your window a bit so you can fit your hands through them. I would push the piece against the door to see if either it's loose from the clip....you will hear it ~click~ if it was loose and you pressed it back in place

I've had mine on the driver door replaced twice so far and now my third has wear where my foot scuffs it getting in and out.

Dealer wants $200 to R&R, how difficult is this seal to fit and replace?

The seal is about $100. It's not mechanically difficult. Takes less than 1 minute to pull the old one out.

Replacement IME, takes trail and error to ~get it on right~, where the seal fits end to end without extra slack.

$100 for labor sounds about right I suppose. It took me on average 3-5 attempts per door till it just fit right. It was if I could not get over the learning curve. LOL, and I thought doing the same job on my M5 was annoying. Ha, this took it to another level.
