Concealed carry locations

I am interested in converting the upper portion of my center
console lid to a concealed carry weapon location.
Right now, there is formed plastic for the nonexistent phone.
It's empty. Has anyone removed that plastic to make room for
"Something different"
I have had the lid off and in hand, but see no way to remove the liner.

I prefer this discussion not turn into a Second Amendment argument.

You could just cut out all the plastic and fab yourself a little tray.

The threads I recall used locations more accessible. I've done work that required removing the console. Takes some doing but makes it much easier to make changes.

Okay,
Anyone know how to get out the preformed plastic liner out?
I want a nice looking holder, yet concealed.

When the copter is overhead filming after the attempted carjacking,
I need to look organized.
Nothing worse than a crime scene with messy interior :)

Is there a reason the lower section below the phone tray section isn't considered as a possibility (#1 in diagram)? If you have the insert that holds cassettes or CDs (#4)...you can replace it with #1 which gives more space.

Guns are icky!

Do you have passengers in the back seat? I like to put something in the pocket at the back of the passenger seat. Out of the way but easy to reach and present with one hand. No fumbling with opening latches, just reach and pull.

Pano sunroof stuck open? :D

I'd mount a holster in a reasonably hidden, yet accessible area. You don't want a firearm flying around in an accident. Sloppy.

Try cross draw holsters, they are a great and easy solution.
Like for example https://www.craftholsters.com/cross-draw-holsters

I vote hood mounted.

But seriously, following. Curious to see what you come up with.

I'd consider one of these or something like it.
