Hi, I am new to this forum but have been reading this post as I am trying to get the DIS 57 software to run on my Win10 computer. I upgraded to VMware workstation 10, but continually get a an error when I try to run the DIS v57 virtual machine.
"Failed to lock the file Cannot open the disk 'C:\BMW Diagnostic Tools\DIS v57\DIS v52.0-000001.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Module DiskEarly power on failed. Failed to start the virtual machine." I bought this package on ebay several years ago, and, as I recall, actually had it running on one of my old laptops running XP. Has anyone seen this error or know anything about how to clear it? |
Bmw DIS V57
Hello everyone,
I have just signed on to this forum today hoping for some assistance. Based in Cape Town South Africa. Have a 2002 BMW E46 320d. I have INPA and the cable, however I need to re insert injector coding and was told need to have DIS V57. Installed INPA on VMware 12, running windows xp sp3. May I ask if anyone perhaps has this software to share with me ? Perhaps Dropbox or download ? English versio is cool. Thanks Thevan |

That is vmware telling you it cannot open ( or find ) one of the files it is looking for. You should check to see if the .vmdk files are located in that directory and are all present. It could be looking for a snapshot file too. look in the snapshot manager to see if there are old snapshots that have been deleted. Hope this helps! |
Looking for install DIS to code a module that NCS expert won't code.
Anyone has a link/instructions? |
