I did and couldn't find anything. It's the strangest thing ever. I left it on the lift running and didn't see a drop anywhere. Can't see much without removing that thick aluminum belly pan and when I started to pop the bolts loose, I noticed it was holding the sway bar etc so I just left it. I suppose I will let the local shop I sometimes use have a look since I didn't see anything.

Turns out it was the coolant hose at the back of the motor which feeds to the heads. Being fixed now.

You should change all of the coolant hoses on these 4.6is. Even if the mileage is not high they go soft and deteriorate. If you do one at a time (as the leaks start to show), you'll be chasing leaks for a while.

Just an update that all the issues have been fixed. Headlight was a ballast, wheel tilt was driver side seat switch, stereo issue was HU which has been replaced and then recently we had been having rear air bag issues so I went ahead and got the ECS spring swap kit. Got the passenger side done and will do the driver side in the morning. Had to disconnect sway bar, shock and lower the subframe to get the new springs in but the upper and lower pads fit perfect. I have read it should ride just like stock and for $230, it sure beats chasing air leaks and replacing bags.

You can thank me for not receiving wrong springs from ECS. They were almost stubborn in claiming that it wasn't their fault till I send them some pictures.
Basically, they were putting wrong springs with correct upper and lower pads. I'm glad to hear they're sending the right springs now.

I almost sold mine but there was simply nothing there that it could make me happy.

I guess you don't plan on doing much towing? That's the main reason I'm keeping my rear airbags, so that my rear suspension can level itself out when I tow a car on a trailer.

No, we have a Nissan truck and Xterra. The x5 is the wife's dd and our weekend family mobile.

Bmw540san, good work with ECS! And your thread will be valuable for me. I will need to code out the error light.

No problem.
After reading zillion of different ways and people going to dealer and spending all kind of money, $30 P.A. Soft paid itself 10 times over by deleting that light.

Thanks. Second side went much quicker. I just completely removed the subframe bolts on that side but supported it with a jack and lowered it until I could get the spring in. I removed the shock and end link first. Very easy job and will save a ton of money and headaches.

I hope this X5 is around when I pay off my M5 so I can buy it, haha
