AC waiting to blow cold until you rev is classic Calsonic compressor failure. Calsonic is the manufacturer of the VD compressors for 04-06 models. It's good to check everything else, but it's most likely the issue. They don't last much over 100K in warmer climates.

They are over $1k from the dealer and I would just bite the bullet and pay it if you enjoy working AC. Good luck with aftermarket.

There are about 10 days a year that I don't have the air conditioning on. No problems after 118,000 miles.

Talk about chalk and cheese - there's less than 10 days a year where I actually turn the AC on. :(

I have to run it for 10-15 mins each month just to keep the seals moist etc. :confused:
