Doing this job now, replacing the swing arm bushings.
Pressed the old ones out, trying to figure out how to press new ones in. I guess I can use those worm clamps, but there must be a tool, that's wider at the top, and narrower at the bottom. Wonder if anyone used it.

And I think the opening of the bushing is supposed to be directly up, pointing to the top of the swing arm.
Didn't see anyone mention it.

This tool is magic!
I ended up ordering just a couple of 2 inch clamps.
ISPINNER 2 Pack 2 Inch Stainless Steel T-Bolt Hose Clamps, Clamp Range 56-64mm for 2" Hose ID, Pack of 2 https://a.co/d/cTO0oH7
I have the subframe out, so makes it easy to just do the job on 20 ton press

Worm clamps won't work. Tried them. They strip before you can get the bushing completely compressed. The t bolt style works. The 56+ mm are too big. At least for mine.

I'm not sure it matters. I can't find anything on Newtis other than swing arm removal. It doesn't address the bushing replacement as I think BMW is about selling expensive parts so your supposed to replace the entire swing arm for a bad bushing. I don't have my Bentley's with me so I can't check there.

No need to check. BMW doesn't support or advise bushing replacement and that one is clearly the most egregious.

That's what I thought. They's rather sell expensive parts.

Yeah I just replaced my valve cover because the $20 vacuum reservoir cracked

2 inch T clamps were too big. Ordered 1.75 instead.
