Oops, I forgot. It didn’t use to work on my 2004 until I had to replace my oil level sensor because it was turning my oil light on every time I started the car & now it does. Which is why I said I could be the Thermatic oil level sensor

Interesting. What year and trim options on your E53's? Did you just plug in the latest USB and you got temps or was there other effort? It looks like the LCM version may be the culprit. Could be that it works with the i6's but not N62's. From IBus:

To show range, consumtions and AVG speed an high OBC is required
The coding funtions are limited on LCM 2, oil temperature und voltage maybe don't work with that
On vehicles with construction year fewer than 98 the IKE can make some trouble
Also you'll need PDC to show PDC graphics and aux heating to control aux heating etc.

Do you have the most current version of the app? The e53 is heavily supported now. Came out a few weeks ago

All I did was wire in the usb app & plug it into the radio, download the app & unlock it. Easy peazy. Ask Crowz if his shows the oil temperature. Which trim are you specifically looking for?

Well, the folks with an N62 V8 seem to have the similar experience. You have 2 M54's, yes?

Pics from Crowz site does not show oil temp. But that doesn't mean he's not getting it.

That picture is from before the app is unlocked. I believe his is also the M54 motor

Also if your app looks like that you don’t have the newest version. It’s very different
