I have the load floor in my '04 and never really used it all that much until I strained my back. Now, I'm really glad I have it. I use it all the time as I'm not tall enough to reach the back of the cargo area with the tailgate down. Mine doesn't rattle at all and I custom installed a pocket style cargo net which I use constantly for groceries etc. Good luck on your search!

My load floor has a little prop rod on the right hand side, it must be missing on yours?
