Well, today was the day! I took my daughter out of school 2 days early, we cashed in some airline miles and BOOM. We were in Philly before noon!

If you're an OCD paint correction guy- especially on 34k mile paint- the paint needs a little love with an orange pad and light abrasive. Very small scratches that look like they came from washing. Only visible in the reflection of bright lights.

The interior only needs door pulls- and that only cause I like 'em looking new- some cupholders, and a trim piece around the hazard switch that is worn from fingernails or something. It smells new. It came with both rubber and cloth mats. It also came with BMW lambswool seat covers. I had these on my 2002 back in the day, and I loved 'em. I haven't decided to install them or not.

As part of his inspection, the seller replaced the thrust arm bushings. That was nice and makes the road trip home that much easier.

I really enjoyed getting to know the seller and his business. He does what I would just love to get into when all my bills are paid and I can putter around doing what I want. Like many of these guys, it started as a way to store his own cars and then other friends wanted in..

Anyway, the 2004 X5 had some nice stable mates for a little while. I could've spent another 2 hours in the garage!

I literally walked *right by* the E53 while I was oogling the cars. I didn't see it till my 2nd lap! But man oh man... She's clean fellas. She could be *more* and she will be... Very clean. :D

And.. Good LORT! What in the God in Heavans....? Issat a MINT Jeep Wagoneer Woodie? Yeah. I've seen one of those for sale. For $120k! And what's it next to? ANOTHER mint Gen1 4Runner turbo?

My eyes have been rolled back in my head for ab 1/2 the day. We had a 0330 start and we'll have a good day one run tomorrow as we approach Richmond, VA. See ya'll around!

You're a brave soul with 2 N62 powered X5's. I've been tempted by the devil in the past... but so far have not given into temptation. ;)

Edit: And yes, that appears to be Smoke Grey trim. Having EHCII is nice as well.

Yeah I got that smoke grey trim in mine and it’s awesome. That X5 is a nice find just need some staggered wheels to complete the look.

Soooo many nice cars. I'm a BMW snob so those grab my attention... But I can still appreciate all the beautiful vehicles in that warehouse.

Thanks for posting!

Just a bit North of VA outside Philadelphia. In fact, we'll be in Richmond tonight. Tours at UVA and University of Richmond tomorrow!
