UK Guys I've been SuperChipped

Well the deed has been done SuperChipped today so that was a increase of 45bhp @ 3302 rpm. and 97nm increase @ 3302 rpm.

This has made a big difference so much nicer and that low down torgue that those big petrol guzzlers don't have is now even more awesome.

If you want to get the most out of your X then you've got to consider this.:) much more happy now was missing the power of our previous Touareg V10 but now well I'm chuffed.:) said to Allan on the road home "I like this car now."

That's awesome Fiona - I wish I could find a software update for my 4.4 that would produce increases like that - or even 1/2 that! Those are very impressive numbers! Enjoy!

That's awesome Fiona but I'm stunned just from a chip that there is a 45hp increase. This is supercharge territory here. I would have thought 10-15hp is the expected figure. Is this from a dyno?

Chips can increase 10-15% from the stock, so maybe it did. Hope we have it here too. Making our X5 like a sport car. Zoooom

A 45hp increase is quite large from just a chip. Do they have anything for a 4.4?

Do they have a website?

yeh I've got the dyno print but I would need to be at my work to scan it remember this is only bhp and not at the wheel. I have been on a 300 mile trip today and got to say it really has added a good bit to the performance and also it just smooths the car out so much.

I can't praise superchips high enough but I have had most of my motors chipped by them.

their website is

www.superchips.co.uk

10-15 bhp is a very good increase for reprogramming a normally aspirated car!On a 2004 4.4 X5 this will equate to 3.17%-4.76%.
However ,on turbocharged cars ,because you can increase the Turbo's boost pressure accompanied by extra fuelling and optimised injection timing,an increase of 25 to 30% is reliable.

Fiona's car is a Turbocharged 3.0,the increase was a hefty 45bhp but still only 20.6% up on oem power of 218bhp!This increase is well within the engines working temperatures and reliability! To give you an example, Bmw estracted 163 bhp from their 2.0 turbodiesel,so this is more strained than a Fiona's now ,263bhp 3.0!
This is the acceptable power increase practised by the more responsible reprogramming houses,of which Superchips are pioneers.

That's an awesome increase! Thanks for the explanation.
