You can tell when it quits running or you can put something metal against it and both feel and hear it running with ear to metal.

Ambient below -14F or engine temp below 104F will engage the system and run for 90 seconds.

so far so good with my Chinese made knock off. I can hear it running, but its quiet and not screaming like my old one.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I'm having issues trying to find the third 10mm bolt for the SAP bracket. I found the first two that are nearest to the intake manifold, but I can't find the third one. From wiggling a few times it seems like it's somewhere behind the headlight assembly, but I'm not sure. Can someone point me to where the third bolt is? I've been trying to feel around for the bolt for like an hour and it's driving me nuts.

I remember 1 bolt not being obvious but not that bad, is there maybe access from the wheel well ??

DTM_Theory 12-22-2025 09:43 PM

I'm able to put my hand down in the wheel well and feel around behind the SAP (near the headlight assembly) but I wasn't able to find the last bolt where the bracket is secured with. I've tried getting the secondary airflow sensor and hose out of the way but that just exposed empty space.

Sorry, I don't have the X handy right now or I would go out and take a look to jar my memory. Get some good light on it and a maybe a mirror and you should be able to figure it out.

Good point with a mirror. I'll try that.

It's been a while, but maybe you can get to the three rubber mount nuts for the pump instead of taking the bracket off??
