"Module not found" can for sure be a transmission connector problem. I don't remember exactly where the connector is but that is exactly the problem and the fix when I first bought my X5.

Check for L values when shifting or maybe you can't even read egs? When one pin doesn't make contact in the OBD port you can lose module connection but usually it's the other than DME/EGS affected.
I suspect the connection in the ebox or internals of the TCM/EGS. I took mine apart to check the traces. I did the same with DME when I was tracking down similar. My case turned out to the connector at the back of the transmission but looks like you already opened yours up to check. That connector goes inisde to a harness that can and will fail. That said you'll get into the module to get erroneous readings not just get no connection |

Solved the transmission problem. I now have a fully functional tranny!
But I'm not saying what it was. Need to continue the trend of not following through with the solutions for that issue. |
