I didn't say that a Ferrari didn't have problems, I meant that if a Ferrari has problems you expect this, not from a everyday verhicle like a BMW..if this offends you....I am sorry..... but the kid said that the car went back to the dealer for all problems and the problems weren't fixed...but I guess you are so in love with your BMW that you think that the windows should roll down without reason....or that your dashboard should be a x-mas tree with warning lights when nothing is wrong?
Well enjoy your BMW and hopefully you won't have to deal with all these problems...I have read a lot of horror stories about the first generation of X5's and they are not funny!!! I guess this is what you got to pay when you build cars in the USA!! Where quality is a bad as a "made in china" product...and yes this was a little rand...sorry couldn't help myself! |
Hey i'm not offended by anything so don't be sorry. I called it like i saw it. I know what the kid said. But when someone say's "that the car went back to the dealer for all problems and the problems weren't fixed" It sounds to me like everyone responsible just gave up. I don't understand your comparison "a Ferrari has problems you expect this, not from a everyday verhicle like a BMW" I have never owned a Ferrari but you can bet if i did and it had problems i would approach it the same way i do when i think something isn't right. I go to the person responsible and they follow thru and fix it.
Lets get one thing clear. My BMW is a material thing. Theres no love affair going on here to the extent that i would put up with any problem the X5 would have weather it's windows that goes up and down or a dashboard looking like a x-mas tree with warning lights and quite frankly i don't think he should either. I just believe that if you hate something that bad move on but don't insult our intelligence by gloifying a Tahoe on an X5 site. It's like being the only Green bay packers fan at a Raider game. You know what reaction your gonna get. Quote:

Brother got t-boned in his Suburban Z-71 last Sunday morning. Wife, next to him, 3m and 18m kids in the back. About a 40-50mph impact. Pivoted his car 90-degrees. b/t/w is was a Russian laborer with no D.L. who spoke no English. Boris ran red light.
Brother, wife, kids, all fine. The Z-71 got a little torqed and twisted, but drove on its own power to the dealer. Thank god they were in that vehicle (I will post pics). It was an '02 and they never had problems with it. Counterpoint: I have a client with a Denali that he curses at on a weekly basis and he will never, ever, ever buy another. nico...lemons and problem cars come in all shapes and sizes. I bought one of the first Touaregs in Florida and it was the biggest POS I have ever driven. Lesson: early production cars can have issues. FYI, other than a few minor issues, my X5 has been flawless. Question: How in the world can windows spontaneously roll down when regulators are controlled by mechanical contact-activated switches? It's impossible, no? You physically have to bridge the contact, right. |
