Is it just me or the 19" and below wheels just dont do the X justice, as far as stance?
|
No its not only you. I put on 18" all seasons on it for winter and it just looks sad.
So I bought the Continental Extreme Contact DWS for ALL seasons in 20" and got my Chrome BMW wheels back and it looks SO good. You are spot on, on this one. BTW those 18" wheels and tires (Michelin Green X All season are for sale) |

Not only you. The X looks ugly with small wheels, as wheels can change the look of a car dramatically, same thing as clothes on a person ;)
Some people arnt into looking good as much as comfort, but most people can agree with us anyhow. Quote:

Personally I think it depends on the wheel style just as much as the size (within reason), though I completely agree with Rick... lousy roads and specific whether conditions should dictate wheel choice accordingly. Personally I think there are some 18" wheels that look perfect as do a few 19's and one 20". Anything bigger than 20" doesn't look right to me.

I agree that smaller wheels look odd - especially with narrow tires.
Funny though that a comment about aesthetics has been refuted by people touting practicalities... |
