Here is my 2001 that I have owned for over eight years..

Its weird why BMW change the base builds on these models per country. In the UK rear air suspension was standard on all model specs including the 3.0d. only the 4.8is came with full air suspension as standard, also noticed you door handles are not colour coded. Nice BTW the wheels really set it off.

There have always been a number of differences with imported cars into AUS certainly suspension is one of the main ones, due to the condition of our roads here, no there not all gravel as some think but for the better part they are ordinary compared to England where I have driven extensively. Very few of the E53s in AUS have colour coded door handles, then there is the detuning of some of our imports and the list goes on. I guess it all gives us something to talk about.

hey everyone new to the forum, I just picked up my 02 4.6is Imola Red with Imola Red interior couple nights ago, I only snapped a few pics. As soon as the LED interior lights come in I will take some good quality pictures

I have the running board sitting in my garage. putting those on in the spring and taking off the chrome handle covers tomorrow. any other ideas what i should do next?

Do you have tail lights with the orange blinkers or is that just a bulb reflected in the photo.
Those wheels also dont do the car any justice and it looks as if you dont the tyre profile is too low!What size and profile tyres are you using?

I like the color... maybe some factory style sport wheels and clear signals?
