Yeah, I tried to have my dealer install gauge rings while replacing the cluster and was told BMW does not offer a gauge ring set for my 2001 (???!???, it's standard in my 2006 !???) - I guess it's strictly aftermarket for early models

BMWNA agreed to replace my gage cluster but not the nav screen.
However, the rep suggested my local dealer might have marketing support. Long story short, my local Service Advisor fought my battle and got the approval to replace both the gauge cluster and nav screen. I just had to pay $54.40 for the labor.

the one i had changed was the one in the centre of the car above the heater controls and not the one under the tacho\speedo

Well I now have a new gauge cluster! BMW NA paid for the cluster and I paid $70 for labor. Nice to not have dead pixels!!!!!
