I spoke to the dealer regard this subject just to make sure to use the right one. the lower grade is less accelerate than mid. or premium.
yes, I live in pretty high altitude aprox 3500 ft.
yes, the power seems weaker about 2-3 %.

I've written on this before - Had to put 5 gal on 87 oct BP when I did not know the distance to the next gas station and the one I was at only had regular do to work on the gas tanks - my hwy mileage dropped from 18-19mpg to 16mpg for the next 2 fillups(my '01 X5 4.4) - I stick to 91(min) octane and try to always fillup with Conoco (Phillips 66, 76) or Shell (most prevalent for me)

Those of you who use Chevron, I have always found it to be the most expensive by 1-3% (or more) - Is it THAT much better than the other Toptier fuels?

98 RON (Research Octane Method) is approximately equal to 92 Pump Octane (what you are buying in the US)

Oh, didn't realize the RON vs Octane difference, well in THAT case, the 93 around here is stronger :nanana:
