UPDATE!! Mickey and Tom G was correct about the solution.
I had the X5 hooked up to my mechanics BMW diagnostic computer which showed that there were multiple modules that were not communicating with each other and there was a voltage spike that shut them down.
So, the battery was disconnected and allowed everything to power down/off. Waited for about 1/2 hour and then reconnected the battery. Guess what, everything now works. I just had to reset my clock. All my radio memory, seat/column/mirror memory, etc. were all intact.
The radio/MID display/Sirius all works. DICE-HD iPod & Aux works, but still back to my original problem which is no audio from the HD receiver. I'll have Tom G double check the DICE-HD connections in a couple of weeks.
