If the deal is too good to pass up, take it. Just get an aftermarket NAV loaded with all the goodies on it. I wish BMW NAV was touch screen. That would be awesome.

I like touch screen nav units, however I dont like the smudges they get. I have actually gotten used to the "dial" in for the destination points and I like the idea that my screen is not smudged. I also notice that the BMW navigation 2005-2 DVD is more accurate than our Honda Odyssey. Nav is cool...no doubt about it.

If the car is that good of a deal, you can always buy the nav retro kit. I am sure it is pain to install, but it can be done. I am trying to talk a buddy of mine into retrofitting his 2005 with a nav unit. He will eventually do it... :)

Agree with Pseto, if they where providing that info that would be great, but my experience with nav systems integrated in cars (mostly on bmw loaners) where a pain in the neck. Besides you never get your money back when you re-sell your car and a portable one can be taken to another car, boat, etc. And new ones come every so often it is not worth (at least to me) paying an extra 1,500 or more for something that will be obsolete in 6 months.

What's the model # of that Pioneer system? I'd like to look into that for my X.

Understand that youll loose youre OBC functions if you take out your head unit.

The Pioneer model that I saw that was cool was one of the AVIC models. My brother put it into his Lexus and its very cool. However, you will lose steering wheel functions and the LCD screen will pop up right in front of the vents. Not sure if you want a non-OEM look, plus if its really hot, you can't direct the air at you.
