You are way off on that one. People always color match the skid plate with their X. It is the next best thing compared to the 4.6 front spoiler

I agree as long as the car is light collored and you clearly se diference betweend black plastic and skid color, but my black X with black skid? i dont think you would eaven se it
On a imola red or topaz it would most likely look grate with body collor but far from all the colors should have body color on the skid, some of them will look better with titan or silver especially black X

Well obviously this isn't true ("always") based on previous posts, but anyways.

I just have a problem painting this thing Alpine White to match my X, especially when it is under the car and catching crap off of the road - it would never be clean!!

It might not be conviniant for you to have it in white, but it will most definitly look very nice.

:confused: I would have to disagree with you big time on that statement. The vast majority of skid plates are silver in color.

I was just stating that the silver skid plate looks the best in my opinion and that some X5 colors are just going to look better with this accessory than others. A silver X5 looks the best to me with it.

FYI - My skid plate doesn't get that dirty, surprisingly. Also, I just saw a Nissan SUV that was white with a silver skid plate and the color combo looked pretty good IMO.

Yes only E53's without a 4.6is spoiler - not impossible though, probably could be modified to fit.
