Looking for honest opinions .. front skid plate
 

I am trying to improve the looks of the front end of my 03 4.4i
Once I have seen some in person, I will swap out the lights for some cleared out fronts as my 03 waffle inspired lights look very plain.

What I need your input on is the front decorative skid plate from the BMW accessories catalog

My car is a special order LeMans Blue and I have seen this part on Silver cars painted silver and it looks great... does anyone have it on a car not Silver and what color did you have it painted ???

I think you paint it silver regardless of the color of your X. I don't have one, but I think that is how it's done.

Sorry, thanks for filling in the gaps I left :rofl: You are correct but I have just not seen it fitted to a darker color vehicle.

How many miles do you have on the 03 X5?

Is that relevant to the color of the decorative skidplate ? :D

it comes unpainted. You have to paint it with any colors you want. I see most popular color is silver.

:thumbdown No way. If you are going to do it, silver is the only way to go. Regardless of the color of your X. There are some X5 colors that this particular part looks better on than others. That is just the way it is.

Painted to match or standard titanium silver, either way it will enhance the look of your X5 IMO.
