nice to hear about the high mile X's. I have an 02 3.0i with 90k on it.Has had a lot of problems but runs nice now.i have these outstanding problems due to lack of $
Front passenger door wont open from the outside(door handle seems stuck)
Passenger rear door actuator(wont unlock electronically)
Passenger tailight goes out when it wants to(circuit board looks damaged beyond repair)
Passenger side fog light doesn't work(previous owner installed depos but forgot the wire for the headlight?!not very fun)
Seems like my passenger side had a stroke now that i look at all the problems lol

I didn't see any official BMW high mileage club online anywhere.

Let's start a high mileage club here. Thoughts?

High mileage club sounds cool!

Photonic 10-04-2011 01:46 PM

Of course we'd have to qualify what the term "high mileage" means. Original engine and or transmission? Then there's proving the mileage. Go on honor? How would we prove? I personally don't think we need to go that far. Could we get an icon (badge) next to our names based on the mileage obtained? 100k,150k,200k... What up!!?

2004 plate 208,000 miles replacement disks all round a clutch a battery 3 battery disconnects to kick start cd/radio/satnav blue tooth never worked properly BMW Guilford blamed my phones! Ecu software updated after injector error message.

Generally very happy until panoramic sunroof wouldn't close pushed it back with carving fork prong and saved a trip to have expensive replacement.

My 1992 535 has done 230,000 miles and is held together by rust
