Dead Pixels on NAV screen
Searched and saw a couple of references of dead pixels on the nav screen and being able to ship the screen or unit to Alpine to get it repaired. Does anyone have more information on that, where to send it to etc.
I have some greyed out/dead pixels that seems to be spreading, taking up about 1/4" x 1 1/4" area of the screen. Don't want to have to buy a whole new factory nav unit to get the screen back. |
Depending on the year of your vehicle BMW has been replacing them. Your search should have brought up that recourse. Try again

I am aware of a replacement/repair program for the gauge cluster pixel problem. I haven't seen anything on the nav screen replacement.
I have searched on 'display' 'nav' 'lcd' 'alpine' 'pixels' The only thing returned is information on the gauge cluster repair. |
OOps
akadel your right.... MY bad |
It's ok, I know how much pleasure the 'use search' folks derive from rubbing n00bs faces in it.
Don't worry, you'll get em next time. |
Oh that wasn't my intent at all.

There is no solution to solve the dead pixel on NAV screen. You have to replace the screen to get the screen back.

Thanks for the response, I figured it can't be fixed. Is there a part number for just the screen? Where can I buy a replacement screen?

4:3 screen or 16:9 screen? LHD or RHD?
