guys,

make sure your tires are for SUV/LT - passenger car tires may work well, but they are not developed using SUV/LT's weights and dynamics, especially wear. Sometimes OEM's use these tires to hit certain performance targets, but wear is not a huge concern for them.

Also, the diamaris is an older line for Michelin, which now pushes Latitude Tour HP / Latitude Sport.

Conti's Cross Contact UHP's are also a nice tire.

Also, you guys need to check your alignments. When I got my M3 checked, the alignment is very aggressive for stability purposes. When I made my toe neutral, the car was a bit less stable in high speed, but turn in was awesome, and I was able to get 25K miles on Toyo T1r's 275/30R19's with -2 front / -1.5 rear camber and 3 track events per year.

my 0.02 cent's !!

sounds defently like the tires were over inflated !! alignment issues would either be noticeable on the inside or the outside not the middle !!

i agree aswell these diamares are dogg s hit !! i went thru 3 set on my 4.6is and i just got my 4.8 in june and it looks like im gonna need a set in the rear aswell !!

i gotta say i drive very agressive and these are not the tires for that !! due to their soft coumpound i'll never see more than 10k outta them !!

gonna try toyo's next time around i hear they look as nice handle as good and last longer !!

oh yea they are noisy as a cat getting ass raped in the yard !!

I drive pretty aggressively in my 4.6, gone 12k on my diamaris and still have 8/32 left.

Okay, you guys driving aggressive/very aggressive. How are your front tires?

I'm thinking those would wear on the outsides and need replacement before the rears would?! :dunno:

Somethings not quite right here. Brand new tire depth is only 10/32.

Which one I don't know for sure:

1) You're not really driving that aggressive but it seems the Diamaris will last 30K.

2) Even driving very aggressive the Diamaris seems it will last 30K.

I'm guessing #1 :D

4.4i owner, running staggered 132s (19-inch) with Michelin Latitude Tour HP all-season staggered. Zero complaints. Already put 20K miles on them, PLENTY of tread depth remaining. Tires have behaved very well in snow, rain, and summertime. I run 35 psi front, 37 rear, nitrogen inflated.

for me diarmaris lasted under 10,000miles under inflated at 28psi. Which tires will last the longest that fits my wheel size?

LI-X5 02-10-2009 01:50 PM

no waaay in hell i can get more than 10k on a set !!

im the guy splitting cars in the 3rd lane on a 2 lane road agressive !! :D

bought my 4.6 w 12k and sold it 43k and literally went thru 3 sets of rear's and 2 sets of fronts !!

IMOLAredNC4.8is 02-10-2009 01:50 PM

The key is this is a 4.8is with 315 rear tires and 275 (i think) in the front. Im sure regular 19 wheels will last longer.
