I bought oem 87s last week and need to have them balanced and aligned, called at least 5 indy shops here in NJ and all of them told me to just bring it to the dealer. Delear qouted $120 to balance 4 tires + $199 for the alignment. Yikes!:wow:

Im bringing my X on saturday to Bay Diagnostic and will let you know about the results. Quote is around $150 (balance+alignment oem specs)

Wish me luck.

Yeah...Al drives an X5 so he's quite familiar. Let him know that Wil with the black 4.6is sent you ;)

Im so going here the next time my primary indie doesnt have a tool to fix something.

jayjay04x5...sorry can't recall if they have the hunter machine. If they don't have, i'm sure they have an equivalent. They're well equipped and as i mentioned, the head-tech (Al) is an X5 fan.

They've been getting lots of business recently from owners that are FED UP with NYC stealers.

have you ever been to bimmerclinic in elizabeth, nj? the owner, bill knows just about everything about bmws and has built his own track cars. i have a few friends who swear by him and the fact that he's an active member of bimmerforums makes him all the more reputable. i plan on bringing my car to him as soon as i find some free time.

Anyone out there?????

I am willing to drive 100 miles if I had too. I am located in the New York City Area.

I've used these guys since 1987! I buy my cars at Morristown BMW (off lease CPO cars) and service with Ron and Gary.

They just saved me $1800 in work the dealer said I needed. I took it to them and before the Enterprise guy came to pick me up, they determined that the $700 I was about to drop in their pocket was unnecessary.

what kind of work did they(Europcar) perform on your X5? do they have BMW diagnostic tool(such as gt1)? is owner or technician BMW trained?
