There's particular service i request for the X5 every winter/summer.

Winter involves:
-installing winter wheels with rear spacers and the necessary work it requires, i.e. balance, align.
-general prep for northeast winter; hoses, fluids, wipers, and inspection

Summer involves:
-installing summer tires and any necessary work
-general inspection and maintenance

I believe that if one properly maintains their car or fleet...the favor will be returned and they'll give you little to no headaches.

I have an E46 and asked around on e46fanatics. I also live in Maspeth, so it turned out to be even more convenient, plus they are right off the L.I.E at the Maurice Avenue exit. Wish I would have known about them 2 years ago when my e46 took a crap. They have the right equipment to work on any BMW though. My experience with them was good, so it doesn't hurt to give them a call if you're looking for a different indy shop.

Just updating this thread because The guys at M-Spec (adam, Eddie, and Jesse) have been taking awesome care of my X for the past two years. They are fair with their prices, will work with you given your budget and needs vs. desires and they have a brand new shop/location as well. They worked with my Warranty Direct policy and helped to get stuff covered that normally wouldnt get covered.
