I was going to ask the dealer how much they charge when I went to check out what they wanted to do for my 100k service. I'm thinking of doing the spark plugs on my own. any idea how much a dealer would charge for regulators? OR anyone going to the meet that wants to do it for a better price than dealers :D

I had my rear passenger regulator done last December, but couldn't find the invoice. It was done under warranty. Sounds like you may be right on your diagnosis accordind to Dawg's last post. I agree that I don't like to mess with regulators or any wondow issues in general either. It can be a pian for sure.

I am at nearly 100k and need to do the plugs as well. I am going to get the torque specs and do it DIY too. You get charged too much at the dealer for that and it really isn't that hard to do. Especially with access to sites like this and all the great advice.

Looks like a solid fix. I need one of those for my driver's side front window. My 4.6is arrived last Sunday, I drove it Monday, and after rolling the window down twice it stuck. Good times.

Interesting... The BMW window regulator kit looks a lot like the Mitsubishi ramp kit. :D

just FYI i was just at the dealer today and he said spark plugs are $124 w/o labor and if you do another service (like service inspection I or II which should be due around this time) the labor on spark plugs is free

What does your dealer charge for a serivce I or II? I wasn't aware that the plug replacement labor was included in that. Something doesn't sound quite right to me.
