Thanks - about to roll 170K!!

Just rolling through old threads and came across this one. I just got my 2001 X5 a few weeks back and thought these skid plates only fit the newer version trucks.

THIS LOOKS AMAZING.

Thinking now of gettting this skid plate and having the body shop paint it, the front grille, and the hood grilles all titanium.

WoW ! A lot of good mods TrustyBlonde . X5Dawg your ride looks awesome ! Now I want a skidplate and running board . I just got exhaust tips and guage rings last week . Other then that the only other mods prior to that was the acs pedals and iCarkit ipod interface. There's a lot of good looking X5's but it comes down to what makes one happy and proud of being an owner of a X5

Just jumping on board as I'm keen to see the outcome of the new mods, sounds nice.
Maybe another pic or two of the skid plate from front on, down low with light over your shoulder, something like X5Dawg.

Contrary to whats been said on another thread,that the black grills only look great on darker cars,Grill looks great.Your car looks more agressive and not so outdated!
Love the wheels and the skid plate too ..but to me its the black grill that makes a real difference.
To be honest .I used your car as a model to do mine in black ,on my Brooklands Green car.Its the best mod I made....and the cheapest;)

where did you get your wind deflector?

also, checked skid plate from getbmwparts.com you provided... can't find it...

Thanks!! As a side project I just finished painting my OEM grills a gloss black - hope to have them on soon.

Mine were sprayed a metallic black and they look better than Matt!
I only sprayed the outside,leaving the vertical grids standard .
