Anyone check out the new R series from MB? I've only seen the ads and it looks like a Pacifica. Buddy was at the dealer for service and he says they're nice, though he never took it for a test drive.

I was *THIS* close to pulling the trigger on an e46 M3 a few years ago... but then things started to get weird:
Bought a condo... got married... started looking at houses... and talking about kids :wow:
So this summer the X seemed like the way to go, as we currently only have space for one vehicle. (When we have space/$ for a 2nd one, we'll likely look no further than a 3-series :thumbup: )

But as an alternative to the X, we considered the Audi Allroad, the VW Toureg, and the Caddy SRX. But after living with a 3-series for 6 years and really getting accustomed to - and fond of BMW's, none of the other contenders felt like something I wanted to live with...

z4 roadster. The coupe looks better IMO but not yet available.

E46 M3 is one of my favourites :thumbup: .. It looks and sounds amazing :) AND it´s a BMW :D

I'd love to give Chip Foose a shot with a '99 Chevy Tahoe, 2 door. I'd ask him to make it drive like an X5 and create a beautiful modern interior with a nav and all the latest electronics while simultaneously making it look like everything belonged there from the get-go. Does that make sense? I think Foose is an amazing guy - can't imagine there are too many folks on the planet with his talent...
