I have heard in person few times. Did not like it as it sounded more like American muscle car.

Good to know, I have big American muscle cars and thats what they are suppoed to sound like. Not so much with my X5! :cool:

Wonder how this would sound with an Xpipe? too raspy?

Seeing as the x-pipe replaces the resonator, yes... too raspy. At that point it is straight pipes post cat. Now on the other hand you likely have room to add an H-pipe for pressure equalization right after the resonator which would help smooth out the sound a little bit.

That may be a worthwhile modification to this particular exhaust.

I think the tips stick out too much, maybe you can ask your welder to make it sit a little inside. The sound is ok though.

Great mod, but I think the sound is a little too loud for me.. Just my 0.02cents.
