1 last question, do the AE's have one single lamp per side that is split and illuminates the high and low beam AE's? :dunno: Any help would be appreciated, I have tried contacting them and have had no response.

Thanks,

Mike

Those looks awesome! :jealous:

My j.levi angel eyes quit working a year ago. I'm assuming my cold weather ballasts died. I tried contacting j.levi to get a new set of ballasts, but I never heard back from them. :saad: :loser2:

Yeah its one bulb powering the Larger diameter Angel eyes as well as the smaller diameter one per side. New Bmw Angel eyes are crazy bright compared to ours even with stock amber angel eyes. I think its cause they changed the design... kinda jealous :dunno: but i got White Angel Eyes too!

Hey naz did you use the harness that came with them. I didn't, the factory harness fit.

Nope, factory harness was the exact same actually.

I installed mine a couple months ago, payed the same price for it, bought two sets of "white" because I taught it was needed, so now I have an extra set.

Ballasts are ballasts, you can use these as long as the plug is the same.

LOT 2 HALO ANGEL EYES RINGS 12V CCFL INVERTER BALLAST - eBay (item 300487879946 end time Nov-30-10 12:11:45 PST)

I had a mild scare a few days ago when I washed the engine bay and then I saw that my angel eyes either weren't on or only partially lit for the first inch or so. I let the engine run, low and highbeams on in order to produce lots of engine heat and finished washing the outside. Within 20 minutes all was OK  It sucked not seeing them on for that short of time, I still love how unique and bright they look when the ignition is on.

Well I got mine at Canadian Tire. But I am sure they can be found at all the usual BMW parts websites, like EAS etc.

My only problem with them, is they flash quickly as if the bulb was dead, the LED's do not draw enough power.

All you need to do is put a resistor in line in the bulb's pigtail. You just need to figure out what Ohm resistor. The check system thinks the bulb has burnt out, as it doesn't draw enough power.

Ha, that's funny.. 15 seconds of searching and I found a kit someone makes for you.. $10. It's even cheaper if you do it yourself(and probably better looking).
