The CD player cover is slightly tricky. You have to remove the radio and CD player and then unclip the cover; I may leave that part suede until I need to get to the radio if I get an aux port.

I've gotten 90% of what was suede done in about 2 hours last night. I need the CD player cover, shifter trim and the right rear trim and then I'll be where I had it so many months ago. I think I'm too lazy and a little intimidated by the center console even though I've been around there trying to solder fix my FSR.

I think I'm pretty fly...

hmm... how much work do you think the pillars and the roof would be? I love the suede interior of my M5.... would be a nice look in the X5 if possible. I know nothing about fabric work though. Just 3M spray glue and pull tight?

Pillars aren't hard. You can see one is already black suede and the other is still the original gray. Just remove the old fabric, 3M Spray glue and a lot of relief cuts to get around the bends. I just hot glue to tack the final edge of the fabric that isn't seen by your eyes.

I feel that the headliner would be a little harder if you are working by yourself. The hardest part should be removing it from the car too. The glue is pretty forgiving so work in small sections and you should be perfectly fine.
