Start of something new

I'm really slow with modding. Wanted to do a CF wrap but many members got to that before me. I want to be different and I don't think this has been done to a X5 yet. It will take a while, especially since I have to balance this with school and I also have to remove the center console. I also can't figure out how to take the trim off the CD player cover and the rear cupholders, but alas, that will be left to another day.

Suede I think

Yep, suede. Very easy to do, but it takes a lot of patience. Pandora is the only thing that got me through all the front dash pieces which had the most curves. I'll do the door trim and the center console/miscellaneous pieces next week or whenever I find the time.

Odd project, but everyone has their own bag...
Good luck keeping the suede "clean" from every
airborne particle & bit of floating debris in the car.

It is unique and I'm sure it will look nice once it's all done, but I'd be scared of losing a lot of contrast in your interior that the light poplar provides. Perhaps you don't like that, but that's a main reason I like my X5's interior (which is exactly yours).

I'm just trying to change things up every now and then. Once I'm bored with suede, I'll start over again and put another fabric on (hint: plaid). If I want to go back to wood, I'll just spend some time with 3M Adhesive Remover and polish it back up to par.

And now it is done ... for now at least. The center console and head unit will probably be done over the summer when I am free from school. Fits just like OEM and was very easy to do.
