I was in no way trying to offend anyone. I have been accused of having a quick wit and dry sence of humor so that was all I was trying to do. This board has been extremely helpful to me and I will continue to add to it when I can. But in the future I will watch what I say. Again sorry if I offened anyone.:beerchug:

I'm not offended, I just commented that I didn't think it was funny. I don't think racial comments have any place here. It is no different IMO than making some comment about the vehicle and concluding that the seller must be black, or that he is overpricing it so he must be Jewish. All are inappropriate.

I fully accept that the poster didn't mean to offend anyone. I think his most recent post is far classier than all the "grow a pair" comments.

LMAO...this thread took a turn. People are FAR too sensitive about comments, not to mention this world is become far too p*ssified w/ trying to make sure no one gets offended. Not one person on this thread CREATED the generalizations mentioned on here, society did that. Go raise your kids if you want change, don't come preaching because you take everything too literally. Remember back in the days of elementary school (when we still said the Pledge of Allegiance before the religious freaks took over)...sticks and stones little kids, sticks and stones. Now, back on topic.

Long story short, I got about 10 back and forth texts with this guy. He claims a friend created the ad, then tried to offer it to me for 10k. Once I told him what I already had in my garage, he said thanks and moved on. Since then, the ad has been deleted. Maybe he's getting off his ass and washing it before reposting...

I'm so glad we got the inappropiate debate over racial slurring out of the way so we could move on with the thread. LOL
I was talking with one of the guys in the shop and he mentioned a buddy of his who turbo'd his X5. I'm currently trying to locate this guy and his vehicle so I can take pics of it and report back to all the racist and anti-racist members of this forum. I'm kidding by the way. :nanana:

I don't think you see the point that several of us tried to make, above. It has nothing to do with turbans or turbos. It has to do with a thread where someone unknown to all of us, either an ebay scam artist or a clueless vendor (we are not sure which it was, frankly), posted an ad. Then everybody laughed at him and his ineptitude. Then somebody said maybe he is Indian. Then when some said that isn't very funny, several piled on to say that yes, it was, and we should have more of it here.

In the context of a fool posting an ad on ebay, what could be funny about associating his ad or his ineptitude with his ethnicity? The poster who made the comment apologized, didn't mean anything by it, and we have moved on. But several of you continue to post that it really is funny. Pretty sad IMO.
