The oil filter hoses are not really a problem as can be seen in the picture. The real problem are the power steering hoses and the hoses running to and from the aux coolant pump. Taking the PS and coolant hoses off would also work but I did not feel like draining my cooling system again, nor did I feel much like opening my PS circuit. Working through the headlight opening is a bit easier and taking the bumper cover and headlight off was 20 minutes tops.

I guess everyone has their own preferred method. Last time I took the ABS module off, the front of the car was completely disassembled and the engine was out. That seemed a bit much for the problem at hand this time :-)

I just hate taking off the bumper cover. I'm too OCD to be happy with the way I would be able to get it to fit again.

My buddy from Boston has swapped his abs module half a dozen times, I know he just pushed the coolant reservoir and PS and oil hoses out of the way without disconnecting anything.

Finally cold enough to fire up the heated seats and steering wheel. Gotta love the creature comforts of a 17 year old car. :nanana:

Brother, my wife made fun of me for years over my heated steering wheel - right up until she drove it one morning when it was -6 out! She came home and apologized immediately - her words - “I’m sorry, that is NICE!” [emoji16]

 Very underrated features. Especially in our dinosaurs. ;)

Hey, I use heated seats in 105 degree weather. Really helps to soothe my back. Especially after surgery 3 years ago.

Honestly one of the best $150 retrofits I have ever done on the X.

Used sport heated wheel $90 fleaBay
New steering wheel trim $45 FCP Euro
New heated steering wheel relay $15 FCP Euro
1 hour labor in the driveway

I looked into putting heated wheel into my car, I read it was more difficult to get the power to the wheel . Would love to know more info about that.
