Check your wiring diagram. My LCI was all prewired for it, even plugged into the clockspring even though the clockspring did not have the pins in the connector. I should point out I did have to buy the clockspring for another $95 so my cost was actually $250 for my retrofit. What year is yours?

That's incredible. Apparently I have a lot of courage but I only pull out those "big guns" maybe once per year

I have 01. Sport wheel and don't like the non sport. I also don't like the look of most of the m sport wheels with the disconnected airbag (like after thought giant button) mine is well integrated into the three spoke wheel and I think all the heated three spoke I saw had the big weird airbag

I tried to pull your wiring diagram but I forgot BMW AG shut down New TIS. :banghead:

Here is the document link I used and it is for 2001-2006 but you will need to see if you are prewired. 12V and GND wouldn't be too hard to run from the fusebox if needed but check and see if you are prewired. Page 5 of this document shows how to confirm.

HA! Man that is for sure! I always just told her she was crazy and that one day she’d figure it out. I had to rub it in just a little bit when she caved in and had to admit, after driving it, that it was a REALLY NICE FEATURE, she even admitted that the seats were nicer than hers that they warmed up further up the back [emoji16]

I told her so... it’s the little things in life that make it worth living and you couldn’t pry my heated steering wheel out of my cold dead hands - because they wouldn’t be cold!! 🤪

Very underrated features. Especially in our dinosaurs. ;)

Hey, I use heated seats in 105 degree weather. Really helps to soothe my back. Especially after surgery 3 years ago.[/QUOTE]
