So the idea is to allow the cap to release pressure sooner?? Have you tried this already? No issues with coolant loss??

There is a long thread Slick did earlier this year, I won't derail this thread but that's the concept. Not allowing the system to reach a 2 bar venting pressure means that you won't ever put 2 bars of stress on plastic cooling components (30 psi)
