^I wish oil leaks were as easy to fix on the 4.4i. I've got a gusher coming from the driver's side VC and upper timing cover. Possibly also the alternator bracket. Going to do it all (have parts) when I can spare a weekend. Debating whether or not to do valve seals at the same time.

Have the AVIC 8000NEX connected to the 5 which is now an ipod tethered to teh 6+ running Pandora & all connected apps it has.

today I changed the spark plugs :)
good job really they were horrible. the drivers bank (your passenger if you are American) the I think gasket has gone as they was a little oil in the plug recesses and on the same bank 2 of the coil packs were loose, missing nuts and one with the earth straps didn't even have a nut on :)
all fixted now tho, blowing a little crud out of the back end but its all nice :)
plus I removed the washer bottle as it stunk of rotten eggs, . cleaned removed the pong and re fitted :):)

Order the Genuine BMW VC gaskets, no OEM or aftermarket.

Seem those who go cheap on these item have leaking issues after replacement or need the job redone a yr or two later.:thumbup:

You get what you pay for on these gaskets.

Got my gaskets/O-rings (Genuine BMW) from ECS tuning for around $120 USD.
