The lighter wheels/tires also allow the shocks, springs and sway bars to work more efficently, similar to stiffer shocks, springs and sways installed with the OE wheels/tires. Big/heavy wheels/tires do the opposite, 10 lbs per assembly is like loading 400 lbs of stuff into the vehicle. Ultra low profile tires also beat up the crap out of suspension components due to ZERO sidewall flex, not to mention a small road hazard such as a 2x4 will have you replacing a cracked wheel, when an X with 19"s or 20"s will suffer no damage at all. It's a BMW, not a '62 Impala, try to bump up performance with mods, not bling factor.

Bling is not the issue it's all black all the way around so I'm not trying to pimp it out. I just don't like small rims on an SUV. I have 19s on it now but I have snow tires in it as well it looks fine b/c of the tires but I have to get them off asap. I think nice rims with fat tires look horrible and that's not the look I want. Maybe I will look into a very lite weight 22s. Do you know of any good sites?

Found a set on e-bay with $1200 of Hankook W speed rated rubber with mold titties still on tread area, Cali seller, his GF buried the nose of his X into a huge tree totalling it. Sniped for $600 (3am auction end time), figured if the wheels were bent I still had rubber worth double that, cost $150 to ship, wheels are good. If you want wheels tires sit back and wait for the deals and save a ton.
