As a matter of fact, about 20 minutes ago I saw a young guy driving a chevy "somethingsmall", with no belt on, and judging by his Adidas sport getup, he is definetely Russian - only russians wear Adidas in public, outside of a gym... That is "BRATKI" mentality...
he was leaning so close to the steering wheel, that i was wondering if he will have a chance to grab a pillow on his way out through the windshield... lol...

oh yea! I got my addidas as well!
funny how much russian is included in this thread, dash cam (iphone in one hand) (electronic music) (reckless driving) = russian!

I have not tested the pillow theory nor will i in the future.
driving is serious. I learned my lesson back when i just got my license and my first car was a twin turbo 2.8 fwd volvo. to much power to handle. always buckled up. the X is slower and I have more brain now.
I really do put the seat belt on 90% of the time, A bit of trolling in the beggining because i spend to much time on bimmerforums.. -theyre all kids.

I find the DSC function scary to keep off.
I recently started driving more aggressive on the pedal. -saves mpg.
but if you forget about ice, the back will spin. I was turining onto the road and my back started spining unexpectidly and I just had enough time to react and straighten the vehicle before an impact with a light pole. and than my friend looks at me and goes wow nice drift! i tell him never ever ever drive like that, it was unexpected. stay safe people. I had enough fun. time to get serious. Happy New Years everyone! Greetings from western Mass.

hill climbing with no dsc sounds risky.
stock 20"? 2nd is the best gear to use on snow.

I heard those v10 touregs do good.
air ride is nice to have.

Yeah, but nobody is saying it isn't his decision. Everybody is just laughing at the "logic" of wanting to be thrown out of the car while holding a pillow, in the event of an accident, because it is believed to be safer than being belted in, based on an independent survey of Russian You-tube videos.

I have seen my fair share of amazingly lucky people getting flung out of a car during a car chase on World's Craziest Police Chases or whatever that show is called. I'm pretty sure they go through reels and reels of tape to find those.

yeah, I've seen that show on truetv channel.
but hey we never know. sometimes they say seatbelt saved lives other times it killed.

the best is drive safe, focused, and looking out for what could happen before it happens.

thats what i do. take my driving very seriously and so far God kept me safe.

Actually, we do know. Sometimes you die when wearing a seatbelt. But when you are thrown clear you are twenty five times more likely to die. You make it sound like you have even chances, which simply isn't true.

Yes he does make it sound like he has an even chance. He has never been in a bike accident. I have. 2 crazy ones. Only difference is I had a helmet, full body gear, and no windshield to go through. I still got pretty banged up both times. No major damage, but full body pain, sprains, and 70 percent of my body in black and blues. The gear also saves you from road rash, gear you don't wear in a car. Now Alex, go research some road rash videos.

These people are almost always unbelted and have significant impact injuries even before they are ejected. Why would you not choose to use something that has been proven over and over to have positive benefits and it costs you nothing to use? I hope the above post was a weak attempt at humor, because if you are serious please do not spread your ridiculous logic on these forums.

Have a look at this Norwegian tow truck driver!
Sometimes you are very happy your seat belts are not fastened! Truck driver has lucky escape in Norway - YouTube
......meaning........most of the time using seatbelts will save your a.., but not always!
