10.5 - 11 wide on the front???? ok must be the photo doesnt make then look that wide. also it must have a deprimental effect on the ride, tracking and wear on the tires to have something as wide as 11 on the front?
|
Noclue ive been tunning them like this since i bought my green one above^^^^. Maybe its 10.5". But no wear or any effects on tires.

lol... IMY here is the Back Wheels.... |
How do you find the DWS's to the other tires you've ran in the same size? You had the dunlops at one point right?
|
Had dunlops ... Bridgestone.... Both rft.... These DWS is pretty much riding on pillows very grippy n meaty... I like them alot..... 4.8mnstr running on Michelin n he swears by them too.
The rating on the bridgestone n dunlop are under 400 thread. The conti are 560 n u get more miles from them |

That open air design I would assume would be a "Hot Air" Intake since its open to the engine heat. If it WERE to breath/flow better. Assuming the intake manifold could handle it. Wouldn't an appropriate tune be needed for any noticeable gains (or record-able, probably unnoticeable)?? Just curious... |
The AFE is open on top but box is quite close to the hood and at the front of the engine. During acceleration the flow will be primarily through the intake and cooler. The other aspect of cold air intake is higher flow. The X will adjust fuel flow to match greater flow of air. The result is some gain in HP and torque. I went with Dinan, don't think AFE was available at the time. Their performance gain claim on 4.6 is 13HP and 12lb/ft or torque. FYI--Dinan version does have a closed top. The engine will sound much better as a side benefit.
