Bodykit (4.8) from E-bay arrived. Some pics
The bodykit from E-bay (Latvia) arrived last night. They're made out of fibreglass, and are primed (white). There are some rough edges I will have to sand, fill and re-prime in certain spots. No big deal. Price was 650$ + 125$ shipping (US).
Here are some pics - from top to bottom: bumper add-ons, fender moldings and eye-brows for headlights, which I find tacky and will not be installed (I don't think they will look good): http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps9f3a4126.jpg Shot of rough edges: http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/o...psb37d9e39.jpg. I will post pics once the kit is finished, painted and mounted. |
does it seem strong for fiberglass? looking forward to updated pics and impressions, i was considering the 4.6 kit from Latvia for my pre-facelift

How do the eyebrows attach? Are you selling?

For the eyebrows you just need 3M double side tape or silicon.

Awaiting the installation and see how it look.
Does the fender flares include both front and rear? |
Definitely want to see it all finished. I'll admit I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to using fiberglass for body pieces because it's not nearly as forgiving as something like ABS. A little bump can leave you with a cracked or busted lip (no pun intended :)).

And yes the kit includes both front & rear fender flares. |
Body kit
Hi Doru, I used the same kit on mine when I had it, minus the wheel arch flares, I didn't trust the glass, so I purchased Lemans flares from Kelowna BMW ( Canada ) If you need any advice on preparation and fitting, happy to help. Cheers.
