Standard heavy duty rubber mats from BMW here, and just picked up a brand new set for the girl and her E46. Nothing like new floor mats to set off the interior.

The X will be getting the OEM ones as well. I have a friend with a 335 who has a the BMW liners and they slide all over and when wet, my feet slip around on them....Not a fan.

The OEM BMW all weather mats are made by Weathertech actually I believe (in addition to the floor liners)

I never liked the liners, and the OEM ones are better looking and durable and affordable -

What rubber all weather cargo mat solutions exist for X5 owners with the sliding load floor?

I find that using the black ribbed commercial hall mat cut to size works best, unless you're putting large amounts of snow (sand for me) covered items on the load floor all the time.

I discovered that Weathertech sells one for models with the sliding load floor and went with that. Should match the BMW (made by Weathertech?) all weather floor liners well enough, I think.

LOL. Saw this thread. I think I'm going to be a new set of carpets. I must have like 3-4 older carpet sets and 1 weathertech rubber/carpet. I usually rotate them out every 2-3 years and the *current rotated set* becomes winter beaters. The weathertech I held on for a couple years and threw them out. I never like the fitment of them. Add 1 set of $$$ Llyods mats as well.

IMO, nothing is better than the OEM ones on nap, fitment and finish

I bought mine from ebay. deep rubber mats cost under $100. BMW logo'd made of rubber not plastic like I think weather tech

Being totally anal, I have two mats on top of each other on my slide out. A carpeted mat from BavAuto.com and the Weathertech mat on top. A little EXTRA sound deadening is NEVER a bad thing....

For the front and rear, I switch out the WeatherTech mats for Summer with carpet mats from BavAuto.com

That's why we drive the soccer mom minivan in the winter. Don't need to worry about snow being tracked into the van because we have a set of Weathertech mats in the van. As an added bonus don't need to worry about the CCV becoming clogged and destroying a fine piece of German Engineering.
